The Jaguar E-Type Growler
As you can’t have failed to notice, 2011 is the Jaguar E-Type’s 50th anniversary and Jaguar are busy making sure everyone knows it. From the original Geneva E-Type show car at this year’s Geneva Motor Show on through being an iconic part of this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the E-Type will be everywhere. Which may have something to do with the inspiration – and timing - behind Swedish firm Visualtech’s plans to build an E-Type for the 21st century.
New Aston Martin DBS on the shores of Lake Como at Villa D’Este
The new Aston Martin DBS – codenamed AM 310 – has arrived for its first public outing at Villa D’Este. Just as we exclusively revealed earlier this week, the new Aston Martin DBS has made its public debut this morning at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, and our friends from Autoblog Netherlands were there to catch it in the flesh. The new DBS is said to be 75 per cent new, and in terms of crossover parts directly from the DBS it is.
Citroën's Cactus concept featuring a mysterious sounding 'Air Bump' technology will be taking center stage at the carmaker's stand at this year's Frankfurt motor show. The carmaker has released just one image of the concept along with a 21-second video (see left) showing a spongy panel labeled ‘Air Bump' being poked. Although this doesn't really tell us much about what this new technology actually does, we suspect the panels featured in the video are inserted into the bumper and can protect it from the smaller-scale collisions that can happen in everyday life.
